Kate : Yes, don't worry too much. Just be yourself. 너무 걱정하지 말고, 그냥 소신껏 해.

* (spoken) used to say that you have changed your mind about something
* think twice = to think very carefully before deciding to do something, because you know about the dangers or problems
Tim : Could you do me a favor? 부탁 하나 해도 될까?
Would you pick up a box of A4 size copy paper on your way to work tomorrow?
내일 출근길에 A4 용지 한 박스 사다 줄래?
Mariah : No problem. one box should be enough? 그러죠. 한 박스면 되겠나요?
Tim : on second thought, why don't we stock up a bit?
다시 생각해보니, 좀 비축해 놓는 건 어때?
eg) I'll have a coffee please. Oh no, on second thought, make it a beer.
커피 한잔 주세요. 아니, 다시 생각해보니, 맥주로 주세요.
eg) I'll have Chicken Teriyaki. No, on second thought, I'll just have some sushi, instead.
치킨 데리야키 먹을래. 아냐, 다시 생각해보니깐, 스시가 낫겠다.
Ross : I've made up my mind to buy that business. 나 그 사업체를 사기로 결정했어.
Tim : Think twice. That's a very risky business. 다시 한번 생각해봐. 그 사업은 위험부담이 커.
Waitress : What will it be, sir? 뭘 드시겠습니까?
Customer : I'd like a steak. 스테이크로 주세요.
Waitress : How would you like it? 어떻게 해드릴까요?
Customer : Medium. on second thought, make it well-done, please.
중간으로요. 아니, 잘 익혀주세요.
Let me sleep on it
* sleep on it = (informal) to not make a decision about something important until the next day
A : This is our final offer. 이것이 우리의 마지막 제안입니다.
B : Let me sleep on it, please. 생각할 시간 좀 주세요.
A : All right, you think it over and let us know your decision by tomorrow afternoon.
알겠습니다. 잘 생각해 보시고 내일 오후까지 결정해서 우리에게 알려주세요.
Kate : I love this car. This is the car I've always dreamed of. Let's buy it, please.
이 차 좋다. 내가 꿈꾸던 차야. 사자.
Tim : You can't buy a car on the spur of the moment. Let's sleep on it.
충동적으로 차를 살수는 없어. 깊이 생각해 보자.
* do something on the spur of the moment = to do something suddenly, without thinking about it before you do it
Tim : Do you make up your mind, or do you want some time to think about it?
결정했니 아니면 생각할 시간이 필요하니?
Mariah : I'd like to sleep on it. 좀 깊이 생각하는 게 좋겠어요.
eg) It's not easy to decide now. Let me sleep on it.
지금 결정하기가 쉽지 않네요. 하룻밤 생각 좀 해볼게요.
eg) Why don't you sleep on it and give me your final reply tomorrow?
하룻밤 생각 좀 해보고 내일 최종대답을 해주는 게 어떻겠어?
I don't mind
* never mind = (spoken) used to say that something is not important or serious, especially when someone seems worried or is saying sorry to you
Tim : Hey, Ross. What are you doing after work? 이봐, 로스. 퇴근 후에 뭐할거야?
Do you want to help me paint my living room? 거실 페인트 칠하는 것 좀 도와줄래?
Ross : Sure. I don't mind. I don't have any plans, and I like to paint.
그래. 그러지 뭐. 아무 계획도 없고, 또 페인트 칠하는 거 좋아하거든.
Tim : Thanks, I'd appreciate the help. 고마워. 그래주면 좋겠다.
Why don't you plan on staying for dinner after we're done? 다 끝나고 남아서 저녁 먹을까?
If you don't mind
* (spoken) used when checking that someone is willing to do something or let you do something
Ross : Mr. Ahn, if you don't mind, I'd like to take Saturday off. Is it okay?
안사장님, 괜찮으시다면 토요일은 쉬고 싶은데요. 문제 없습니까?
Mr. Ahn : Oh, I'm sure we can work it out somehow.
아, 어떻게 가능하도록 할 수 있을 거야.
I'll ask Kate to take your place. I'm sure she won't mind.
케이트에게 당신 일을 맡아 달라고 해야겠네. 기꺼이 해줄거야.
Ross : Oh, that would be really great. Thanks a million.

* take your place = to go to a particular position that you need to be in for an activity
Kate : What are you going to do after graduation. 졸업 후에 뭐할 거니?
Tim : I want to be a English teacher. 영어선생님이 되고 싶어.
Kate : Really? I know one English teacher who is a friend of mine. You should meet her.
그래? 친구 중에 영어 선생님을 한명 알아. 그녀를 만나보는게 좋겠다.
Tim : I would love to. If you don't mind. 너만 괜찮다면 그렇게 하고 싶어.
eg) As long as you don't mind, I'd like to stay with you longer.
당신만 괜찮다면, 당신 집에 더 머물고 싶어요.

eg) I'll come along if you don't mind. 너만 괜찮다면 같이 갈게.
