11. be worth ---ing : -할 가치가 있다, -할 만하다

    be worth while + 부정사/동명사

    be worthy of + 명사/동명사

    deserve ---ing

 

   This book is worth reading

   It is worth while to read / reading this book

   That museum is worth visiting

   His conduct is worthy of praise

   Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well

 

12. make a point of ---ing : -을 규칙으로 하다

   be in the habit of---ing

   make it a rule to ⓥ

13. come near---ing = nearly/narrowly escape---ing : 하마터면---할 뻔하다

   He came near falling into the pit

 

14. 무생물 주어+ prevent/keep/stop   A(사람) from ---ing

   =Because he was ill, he couldn't attend---

 

15. persuade/enable + O to ⓥ

   dissuade/disable + O from ---ing
